Professor Olaide Abass Gbadamosi  LL.B., LL.M., Ph. D, B. L., ACIArb, MCIM, MCIPS

Professor Gbadamosi attended University of Benin, Nigeria and Igbinedion University, where he received a Bachelor and Master Degrees in law and Ph. D, respectively. He also attended the Nigerian Law School where he received the Barrister of Laws Certificate. He also holds the professional qualifications of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, of the United Kingdom respectively.

Professor Olaide Gbadamosi is a Professor of Law and formerly the Head of the Department of Public and International Law (2010-2015) and formerly the Provost/Dean of the College of  Law at Osun State University in Nigeria from 2015 to 2019.  He was also the Chairman of the Committee of Provosts, Deans and Directors at Osun  State  University.

He is one of the Editors of Osun State University (UNIOUUN) Journal of Law, Development and the Humanities, and Editor in Chief of the UNIOSUN Law Journal.

He is the author of acclaimed textbooks including Reproductive Health and Rights: African Perspectives and Legal Issues in Nigeria; HIV, Human Rights and Law and International Perspectives and Nigerian Laws on Human Trafficking and published several articles on Corruption, reproductive rights and other topics in Public Law in conferences, colloquiums and reputable foreign and Nigerian law journals. His research interests include Reproductive Health Law and Migration Law. He has won many Grants from National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and Other Related Matters, United States Office To Monitor and combat Trafficking in Persons, United States Office to Monitor and combat Trafficking in Persons, United Nations Office of High Commissioner on Human Rights, Geneva, Switzerland under its Voluntary Trust Fund on Contemporary Forms of Slavery. United Nations Office of High Commissioner on Human Rights, Geneva, Switzerland, under its Voluntary Trust Fund on Torture, Governments of Italy, Netherlands and Norway and implemented by International Organization for Migration (IOM) on Counter Trafficking Initiative Project and Grants from Tertiary Education Trust Fund, Nigeria.

He has attended several conferences, both in Nigeria and abroad, including the International Bar Association Conference held in Washington DC, Harvard University, and Cambridge University, as well as the Law and Society Association conference held in Minneapolis and Gambia, and the Sweet and Maxwell Conference on Human Rights held in London.
